Today I began my Christmas decorating! It was such a warm and fuzzy feeling. I put my Christmas playlist on repeat, lugged the huge dusty box of tinsel down from the loft1 and excitedly set to work transforming my room into a festive paradise.
I began with some red paper, cutting out strips to stick together. After tediously chopping my way through three of these sheets, I realised that this process could be made significantly easier if I just cut all the paper together. Like so:

Yeah, it took me ten minutes to realise that I didn’t have to do them one at a time. I’m just a genius sometimes, I know.

I decided to go for a random pattern of colours, using mostly reds and greens because I like ‘traditional’ Christmas colours. I wish I could’ve found some gold shiny paper too, but unfortunately my impulsive nature doesn’t allow for such planning.

A section of the finished product. It lines my bay window. I would’ve photographed the whole thing, but that would mean I’d have to tidy up and, well, would you really ask me to do that?

I also made this wreath using the classic ‘Blue Peter’ method of bending a metal coat-hanger into shape. I’m quite pleased with it!
I best go now; I’m beginning to enjoy Slade a little too much. But finally, I’ve got a bunch of holly lying around. Any ideas of what to do with it?
1 Strictly speaking, my Dad lugged it down. But I watched!

I love making those paper chain things :D Christmas is so fun and cheesy. I’ve been watching nothing but Christmas music videos on TV for the past few days.
